History: Artemis was born in the midst of the worst winter, screaming into the night as if she knew what darkness had befallen on her family. Only three months before, it was told that she was have a twin brother, Apollo but as she was born, her brother came after, no screams coming out of him, only the lifeless blue skin where the midwife informed Ysabeau that he was dead. Artemis didn't stop crying for two moons, the only one making her stop crying, was her eldest brother, Baldwin. It was from then on, the pair openly declared they were each others favourites. He was the one who taught her how to use weapons, teaching her everything she needed to know before she was whisked off to Hogwarts. Despite being from France, Artemis refused to go to the school she believed to be prissy but her family refused for her to go to Durmstrang, the school she wanted to go to as that was too rough. Hogwarts was the only option as Ilvermory was too far.

Before her eleventh birthday, Artemis was informed that when she turns 21, she would have to turn into a full vampire as her sister, Ever, has declared she wanted children. Artemis fully agreed, thankful as she has never seen herself as a mother. She prefers the idea of being a Queen, adopting those who need help, who need homes. Not someone who has to sit around for a few months to wait for a baby to pop out. She's definitely not into that life. The day her letter arrived, Artemis felt a freedom she didn't realise she wanted and couldn't wait to get there, to explore the world on her own, instead of having to travel for family reasons.

At Hogwarts, Artemis felt pure and simple bliss, not caring what people said about her for her french accent even if that quickly went away from her time there. She studied, kept her head down but people knew not to mess with her. There was the air of power around her that she drew on and used to her advantage and in the end, got an entourage of friends to back her up. She knew once she left Hogwarts that she would see those friends again but for now, it was most certainly enough. Whenever she wasn't studying, despite not needing to because she's on the top of her class in most classes..apart from divination, she trains, hiding in the room of requirement and she practised her weapons. Most people would say 'Relax!' but to Artemis, training was relaxing and she loved every second of it.

Family History: The De Clermont family is an ancient family, first from Greece but after a feud about how to run their home, they left for another land. They ended up finding France when it was mere villages and built up from there. They ended up building castles that could withstand any siege, they ended up building a world around them with people who would fight for them, and they would fight for them. They were much like the Abhorsen family, who objected their leaving but the De Clermont's felt as though they must. They became happy with their choices. The founder was named Phillipe De Clermont, who's still alive as he is a vampire. He had many wives throughout the years, having never turned them to survive a life time with them but his current wife is Ysabeau. She's been a FULL vampire for 16 years, having been fully turned into a family when Artemis was born. Ysabeau has been a half vampire for a few hundred years, enough to give Phillipe the children he wanted. This made Artemis and her other siblings half vampires. From the moment they could walk, talk and understand, they've been taught the ways of War as they were classed as the Royalty of France, Artemis' official title being Princess De Clermont. She hates it but loves the power it gives, hoping Queen will be more fitting for her.
